| long update after so long |
| Sunday, September 21, 2008 |
I think I somehow lost my "passion" for blogging. Not like I was damn passionate about it, but these days every time I online, even I was bored and all, I actually forgot that I can blog. Haha and I don't even read blogs that I did regularly.
I'm having a long long vacation now. So long that I don't think I actually had any holiday like this after I finished form 5. If I don't have any commitments at all, I really don't mind living on like this for another, 3 months at least? :p
I've been spending so much time with Justin. We eat breakfast lunch dinner together, we watch HIS Sopranos together, and he's sad because it's the last disc already. Haha so cute. And our favourite past time now would be "window shopping" at furniture shop like IKEA, or electrical appliances shops like Courts.
The transfer for Justin's new condo will only be done by next month, so meanwhile, we can't buy anything yet, except for a new LCD TV which he claimed that he can enjoy it now in his current room first. But we are having so much fun looking at things even we are not buying it yet. Hehe I love shopping, anything! We would walk around the shop, checking out the prices of everything, and stating down budgets. Yesterday, I tried so hard to convince him getting a pink iron, pink rice cooker, and pick juicer! Hohoho. So if any of you happen to come by the condo next time, you see anything in pink, it's my idea! haha.
CAMERON HIGHLANDS - 9th Sept to 11th Sept 2008 Last week, we had a short trip to Cameron Highland. We wanted to go Singapore at first, we almost bought the aeroline tickets. Because of the budget constraint, we changed our mind last minute. On a weekday, we took a 3 and half h ours drive, and there we reached Cameron! We never been there together before, we were so excited, and we were very suprised at the narrow winding road going up Cameron. and the landslide!
We did not book any hotel, as usual. But also because we really seldom go there, we did not even know which hotel was good. So when we reached Tanah Rata, we saw this Century Pines Hotel, which seemed quite good, and we checked in there!
Looks very "lau yah" from outside, but suprisingly it's all different in the room!
 The room!
It's with wooden flooring! We have never been to a hotel room with wooden flooring, so we were suprised. And please pay attention to the bed, do you have any idea what size is it? I mean, it's damn huge, it's definately bigger than the usual king size. And I forgot to ask the hotel staff :p
That night, we had steamboat at the hotel restaurant. This hotel has very impressive room, but the service is damn lousy. We were the only guest at the restaurant that night, and yet the servers were very not responsive, like damn blur. The food sucks too. There must be a reason why we were the only table.
After dinner, we spent time at Starbucks. Yes they have Starbucks, very good business! It's very different than the Genting one, people here are so relaxed, quiet, and they looked peaceful too. Not the common I-just-lost-money-at-the-casino look that you can easily find in Genting.
In the morning, this was where we had breakfast. After breakfast, we took a walk down the park nearby. It was so breezy, if I actually live there, I think I will wake up early everyday just for the fresh air.
After that, we packed up stuffs and checked out. We drove to the peak, Berinchang, and checked in at the Equatorial Hotel. It's much better. Even the room was not as nice as the previous one, but with the same amount of money, the facilities here are really worthy!
We had our lunch at the restaurant in the hotel. Justin loves trying hotel food that's why we are always there. Hehe this picture was taken outdoor, where we chose to sit at first. But it was too windy after that then we moved indoor.
After lunch, we started our journey visiting the farms and parks.
 The cactus farm.
We were wondering how come cactus would be one of the significant plant in Cameron? Cactus are supposed to live in desert. They don't need water..
Then, we visited the strawberry farm.
Guess what is this! Hehe strawberries with whipped cream and chocolate! Strawberries were cheaper than usual, as it's Ramadhan month, and weekday, traffic was slow. So we got to buy real cehap strabewrries. The whole journey there was about strawberries, we even purposely buy a bottle of whipped cream, just to eat with the strawberries in the hotel. I think the amount of strawberries that we took during that 3 days, enough for us to last for 1 year :p
Butterfy farm after that. Whenever only both of us go for holiday, the pictures would be either
 me only
 or only him
or if it's both of us, it will become like this.

That night, we had steamboat again, but not at the hotel this time. One of the chinese restaurant outside. Not cheap not cheap! Rm60 for both of us. So not worth it. But we had lots of porkk. haha
Guess what we did after that? We spent our night at the karaoke at the hotel. Of course not the usual ones we have in KL like Redbox or Neway. This one, it's like a lounge, we pay for the room, @Rm40/hour, and we have to order drinks from them. Lousy one with only 21' TV. But I think the songs selection here are better for us, as Justin only sing english oldies, haha they have very wide selections of this range.
The next day we checked out, and drove to the market place. Justin bought me roses! haha it's so cheap and he bought me 99 roses that he thought he'd never get me if we were in KL.
120 roses for only RM15! Hehe
Nobody would miss having an afternoon tea at the tea plantation while visiting Cameron. And we actually went there 2 days in a row. Justin hearts the English scones
with fresh cream, strawberry jam and butter, it's heavenly.
 Baby admiring the spectacular view.
Seriously, that's the best best best view that I can find in Malaysia. So much greens, so nice.

I like this picture. he looks so happy here :D
 and this one too
and this one, is my favourite!! both my fav (view + baby) - the stupid pole
wooohoo I can't wait for my next holiday, hopefully Bangkok will be a safe place to go by December :( |
