The following is just a long rambling post. a long one :p
We spent our weekend at Genting, again. Hehe this time was so unplanned. I was waiting for Justin at my grandma's house, and it was already 11.30pm when he picked me. I was thinking about genting before he picked me up, well, we used to go there a lot last year. And surprisingly, he called up and asked why not we go Genting? Ya, why not? And there we drove there at 12am.
Our initial plan was to go there for a drink at Coffee Bean or Starbucks. I don't know how we ended up in the casino once we reached there. Sigh. But this time, I know how to entertain myself while Justin battling for his victory at the Baccarat table. I can't control myself but to shout every time he placed a bet, and he will get angry and claimed that it's suay for him. Cheh. So I chose to stay with the slot machine instead. Hmm I found this good machine that keeps giving me free games :)
Half an hour later, Justin came back to me with a sulky face. I knew what happened and I chose to keep quiet. Hehe I won though. 50 bucks and I'm damn happy adey. It was already 1.30 am and Justin was too sad to drive and we decided to stay over there. It was a Saturday night and you can imagine, everywhere was full. The only hotel available was Highland Hotel, and guess how much? I mean we don't usually stay over so we were not aware of the rate. It was super peak season and the blardy room rate was RM435/night for superior room!!!!! It's seriously a lil too expensive to pay for a spontaneous idea. We asked the receptionist for alternative choices, and he said First World Hotel still had room available, Deluxe @ RM 230/night. Much better. But it's on first comes first served basis.
We were so happy and relieved to know that we finally have a place to settle down, and immediately we rushed there. It's not a short distance. When we arrived, yes, the rooms were taken!!!!!! Blardy hell you couldn't imagine how disappointed and exhausted were us.
We couldn't accept the fact and reconfirmed with the counter more than 3 times. Then we sat at the lobby. We were at the junction of life la. To spend the money, or risk our lives driving down in such condition (tired + weather misty + sad)...
15 minutes later, we were back at Highland Hotel again.
"One superior room please" said us with really dead voice. "Yes, RM 375 per night"
o_0!!!??
"Yes the rate was just being revised at 2am"
Hahaha not bad! A short walk and we got to save RM60. Erm it was just us comforting ourselves so that the RM400 would seem to be worth spending.
Sigh.
Finally we got into the room and able to rest ourselves on the bed. Then we both agreed that the money was worth spending. We had quality time.
AHEM. Not what you are thinking. So this afternoon, the sky was so clear and we happily drove down stress-free.
This was my weekend, and guess what? We did not have any Coffee Bean or Starbucks afterall.
And the poor Justin straight attended to customers after dropping me home, until now :( |
